Orthotics are prescription manufactured insoles for footwear. They are designed, manufactured and implemented to improve, support or correct an individual?s foot position. They may alleviate or prevent foot, leg, knee, hip or back pain. A comprehensive biomechanical assessment is undertaken prior to their supply. Orthotics are often implemented to improve performance for an athlete.
Foot Focus has the ability to design an orthotic that specifically meets an individual?s needs for cushioning, support or performance enhancement. A foot impression is required before orthotics are fabricated. Foot Focus clinics may take plaster casts, foot profiling, pedo-graph (foot trace), foam impression moulds, pressure analysis or 3D optic scanning to achieve this.
Foot Focus is one of the few podiatric centres to operate a manufacturing laboratory. It was established in 1996 to service the needs of the Foot Focus clinics.
The laboratory specialises in the design and manufacture of high quality prescription orthotics and insoles. Quality is able to be maintained ensuring an individual?s personal requirements are met. 
Rapid production of orthotics are possible due to the laboratories close proximity to the Foot Focus clinics ensuring a more prompt treatment delivery time frame.
